Curious about the general option about Assange in your country? Is he a freedom fighter rightfully playing the refugee game or is he a conspiracy freak demanding special treatment and avoiding justice?

I consider him an excellent journalist. Transparency is necessary. We have to weigh the impact of exposing human rights abuses. Does it deter future abuses? Yes, people know we are watching. Does it demonize Americans more? Stoke the flames of terrorism? No, unfortunately, American foreign policy, our military role in the Middle East, without the help of WikliLeaks, is accomplishing this on its own. For Americans who believe in justice and peace, we are proud of Assange and hope that his work makes all of us ask important questions of our government.

Democracy Now has great coverage of Assange. This is from 2010.http://www.democracynow.org/2010/4/6/massacre_caught_on_tape_us_military

In all honesty, I don't think many people really care. The only time he's ever been in the news for an extended period of time was whilst seeking refuge, and that's all blown over now.

There were a couple of skirmishes between die-hard fans of his and police, but nothing worth noting really.

Put it this way - This is the first time I've heard someone ask for an opinion on him. I have never heard him discussed by peers or otherwise.
