Read a great National Geographic article recently about Russians' dachas, or country homes. Does anyone have a dacha? How often do you go there and what do you spend your time doing? It looks like a summertime paradise to me!

Hi, many people have dachas, especially those who live in the big cities. When it's warm enough most people go there every weekend (usually from May to September), despite having to spend several hours in a traffic jam every Friday and Sunday evening. Some of them grow their own fruit and vegetables, others stay there just to chill out and have some rest from the city noise and crowds and to merge with the nature. And it's a place to send your kids with their parents for summer vacations. Some dacha houses are insulated and have heating, than people might come in winter as well. Many dachas have banyas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banya_(sauna)) but it's a topic for another article))
