Wish I was working from Espresso Vivace this morning. Best coffee in the world.
Best coffee in world is Starbucks. I can practically go anywhere on the planet and get the same consistent great cup.
Hey dude - Private reply to you to say OH REALLY? LOL! Awesome.
I'm interested to see what happens with that now.
Bt
I'm sure my statement makes my friends at Tougo Coffee slightly disappointed.
Starbucks has developed a pretty amazing model for dependable coffee.
I'll go there in a pinch, but have personally been unable to find anything equivalent to Vivace.
To each their own [cup], I guess, cause it only really matters what each person enjoys drinking themselves.
Nothing beats the Vivace White Velvet!
I respectfully put forth that the best coffee in the world is a tie between Cafe Umbria's beans, and Caffe Ladro's baristas. If Ladro served Umbria, I'd move my office there and just never leave.
Coffee has to be the best all around: scent, flavor, barista and global impact. Best americano in Seattle is either @ Broadcast on Yesler and 20th (whatever they use), Vivace, or Victrola. Vivace barista are professionals. The real catch is finding the best fairtrade coffee in Seattle being that Coffee is the largest export next to oil, fair trade (not slave labor) coffee is where its at!
I am a big fan of Fuel and Uptown Espresso, "home of the velvet foam". But, I must admit, Starbucks was part of my daily existence for years: Many, many, many years :-). In fact, when I went into labor with my second baby, I insisted a stop by Starbucks for my double tall soy latte. (They gave it to me, on the house! And no...I am not kidding).
tomb, I have to admit, I had Starbucks this morning with my family while we ate Top Pot donuts at QFC...and it hit the spot! :-)
Was a good start to the day.
I love all the coffee places everyone's been posting: Vivace, Victrola, Fuel, Tougo, etc. But I have yet to try Broadcast. I've heard it's good and will have to try it soon.
Finally tried Broadcast coffee. It's a fun little spot...kind of reminds me aesthetically of the ol' Online Coffee on 14th and Pine. Anyway, it was good though not up with my favorites. I can see how they would be some people's as they use Stumptown beans, regarded by many to be among tops. I'm personally not as fond of their roasts as they are more bright and citrusy...I tend to like the earthy, chocolatey, carmelly varieties.
Alas...why can't I stop talking about coffee ever? Addiction?
Never! Back to Tougo tomorrow. :-)
