US is going to have a presidential election this November - right now our 2 party system have nominated a candidate each, and they are in the campaign trail (going around the country to drum up support.)

November 20, US Citizens will vote for the candidate they want as president - the winner is determined by an system called the Electoral College (all 50 states are given a points value depending on their population - in theory.) The goal is the win the most electoral points to secure the presidency. 270 is the magic number.

We practice presidential system of government just like the US, so voting is much the same, Secret ballot and you vote for the candidate of your choice. Our next presidential election is in April 2015.
