I was wondering about what might be described as the general "mood of the country" these days. As a Brit living overseas my only real source of information is the UK newspapers. Are people content with the way things are going? Is there a feeling of optimism? Or gloom? Why?
Hey Joseph, It's been a while. How's NZ treating you? I just spent a week in Scotland and have been watching lots of BBC the last two weeks, and the sentiment seems very high due to the Olympics. In London and Edinburgh, we saw outdoor public viewing areas with lots of people watching on large screens. The commentators started off excited whenever Brits made it to the finals of events, which has shifted to when Brits win gold due to higher-than-expected results throughout the games.
