This is a tricky Q's because it varies from person to person and the USA is a melting pot nation with diversity like no other so socialization would also then vary to this extent.

Racism is embedded in our country's DNA. So, it's difficult to honestly measure socialization in this country. Yes, it is a melting pot; but, there are so many sub-groups. And, although a lot of people try to work together to overcome the adversity of racism, the history is so deep that it's going to take time to rid the country of it if possible. But, the media to an extent makes it seem like everything is fine, which is just not the case.

Every one is so issolated, I have lived all over the united states and surprisingly people either party or stick to themselves. I dont really like either options, so I try to find like minded people for example I horse back ride so I joined a stable with lots of different people there and I picked classes in college that are in person so I could meet my peers.
