Sommaren är den bästa tiden. Sverige är ganska stort land, så jag vet inte hur mycket du skulle planera att resa runt. Om du går till Stockholm, skulle jag rekommendera att se så mycket av staden som du kan och spendera lite tid i skärgården:

July-August is probably the best time of the year to visit us(If don't want to have 4 layers of clothes on you just to be outside :)) a great App. for things to do is "Stay.com" can be found in Appstore for atleast what i know iPhone. I would also recommend Stockholm if you want to visit us, lots of things to do.
