Hi,
if I plan to visit US for the first time in life, what would be the best city to visit?
San Francisco! :)
If you like night like do New York!:) The Big Apple!:)
The US is so diverse, it's impossible to name a "typical" place to visit. New York is wonderful as a big city, but is hardly representative of the US as a whole! What time of year do you plan to visit? Florida has great beaches, but is so hot in the summer. Maine has wonderful rugged coastlines. California also has nice beaches, exciting cities (I fell in love with Santa Barbara) and lots to do and see. Like nature? Visit one of our spectacular US National Parks!
I agree wholeheartedly with Linda Marie. The United States is far more diverse than most folks in other countries can imagine. Although there is perhaps an underlying "American Spirit" everywhere here, the differences in culture (and scenery and attractions) from state to state can vary tremendously.
As a southern boy, I have to recommend New Orleans if you're looking for great food and a city that truly never sleeps. For breathtaking mountain views, Colorado is my first choice. As for coastal areas, I agree with Linda: Maine and Florida are beautiful.
Not Philadelphia! I'd go with Santa Monica.
I say don't visit. Go to Venice, Italy (:
Ca. Just there.
