why is banking jobs disappearing?

Does it have to do with 2008 American Economic crash and global fall-out?

When we were studying about Switzerland in high school it was like it was some sort of perfect model country made of chocolate where everyone is happy with their direct democracy. Where are the banking jobs going?

What kind of jobs are appearing then? Where are the former bankers all going?
