As the US presidental election looms, how close do you believe the results will be?
I personally think it will be pretty tight. The Economist wrote a pretty interesting take on it yesterday that sums up where we are in pretty rational language.
Very close. I expect the lawyers will be suing left, right, and center as the results start to come in.
Close on the popular vote, not actually all that close in the electoral college, which Obama will win fairly handily. I think the media has a massive bias towards wanting to present the race as being ultra competitive, so people stay interested and they can sell more ads.
At this point, I think most would agree that a Romney victory would be a complete shock.
Thanks for the comments everyone. I think some interesting points were raised about the media having a significant bias towards wanting to present the race as being very close. I would have to agree with that; my initial assessment of the election was Obama would easily win, but because of main stream media I thought it would be closer. It was only when I analyised the facts again I realised this was not the case. It is quite scary to think how much the media still influences are views...
Well perhaps this is an older post but it is an important point. Zionist owned corporations funded both Obama and Romney's campagin so it did not matter which one won.
