Without getting into the metaphysical, one of the reasons we built #harnu is to leverage the power of the internet to help democratize the opportunity for self-organization. In other words, by making global conversation possible regardless of geography or language, we hope to make it possible for anyone to connect with people that are passionate about the same things they are - whether those things be hobbies or causes, interests or current events.

Just as access to information should be freely available to everyone, so also should the right to self-assembly be available to all.

As for whether I'm optimistic about the evolution of our species? On a personal note, I would just say I haven't given up quite yet.
