Here we build many thigs with wood and where there is rain and wind the wood needs to breath' and be able to dry. Otherwise it slowly decays over time. Such a shame to waste good work only to lose it back to mother earth. I have built the log cabin with this in mind so it has a substancial roof overhang. And air can get to all exposed areas.
