Filled out my ballot tonight. The BBC reports that this election is costing $6 billion. That's compared to the UK which spends $49 million. It's gross.

Agree re: meanness. Seems like it's getting worse. Nice to live in Washington - not a swing state so individual votes (like mine) don't really matter. I would enjoy the election a lot less if I lived in, say, Ohio.
