We have researched quite a bit about social media use in Russia. Can you please tell me why you might (or might not) prefer the social network VK (ВКонтакте) to Facebook. Does the person who owns (or controls) each of the networks make a difference in your preference?

Yes because most of the social networks are zionist controlled and therefore do not allow free speech and are highly biased against any person of European ethnicity who does not hate his own race.

Hi, we use VK, because it allows to store the music and videos, you can search for various tracks or films and add them to your collection. This feature would have a copy right issue in many countries, but people are more relaxed with it in Russia. I also find it more userfriendly, the navigation panel is clean and clear, you have full control over what you want to see, unlike Facebook, where during the referendum campaign in Scotland pro-independence related news would be more likely to be hidden from the newsfeed. The owner of the social network doesn't bother Russians much, though I was very proud, that my compatriot could create such a successful IT project and did a lot of charity work in education afterwards, but I would say it's a minor factor.
