What does spirituality mean to you? Does it play an important part of your life? Why?

If you mean, "Faith in Christ" by spirituality, then yes - it is, for me, absolutely everything.

The "why" is an interesting question; I do not remember a moment when I chose to believe. Instead, I remember realizing one day that I did and that this would never change, even if I wanted it to (and I may actually have wanted that at some moments in my life). But I have been through a number of subsequent experiences where suddenly I have "realized" that I believed or understood something about Christ, and therefore about myself and the world that I live in, more deeply than I previously did, and those moments have represented changes in my life (and the way I live it) again and again and singularly shaped the way I view the world. And they have (importantly) created massive amounts of (only) caring and empathy for the people around me as they have happened.

So I would say the answer to "why" is "because I do not have a choice, and am honestly glad that's the case." Sorry if that's anti-climactic, but it's the best I have for you. :-)

Spirituality means A LOT to me. Why? Because it has changed the way I perceive things forever and I will never be able to change back again. I wouldn't call my spirituality religious, I'm Pagan(: and for me, religion conjures up images of people fighting and killing each other on the base of what they think. Finally, spirituality is the biggest thing in my life and I will be forever happy and humble about it.

Your responses are interesting. I have been interested in trying to find out more about it, although cannot say I have ever experienced this divine feeling. It does seem to change the way you perceive the way and perhaps increases your empathy towards people. Sounds enlightening!
