Ask me about Manhattan living.
I'll bite. Here's my question: what do you think are the pros and cons of raising children in Manhattan? And if you were going to do that, what part of Manhattan would you choose to live in?
Judging from the friends from NYC, they all turned out ok. Manhattan is pretty gentrified these days so I would feel safe even late at night everywhere with the exception of Harlem as I am a light-skinned guy & could be asking for trouble. One guy escorts his kids to & from school which is an excellent security move.
Hi Dave, where would you say are the best places to live for young professionals/artists? Like say... best 'all around'.
Yes NYC is the world capital of entertainment (excluding film) & related creative fields which encompasses a LOT of turf..
any particular neighborhood you like better than others?
LES (lower east side).
I love Harlem! As a young white woman living in Harlem, I feel pretty safe there, even at night. Of course, I say anywhere you go whether it's New York or New Zealand, it's always best to use your common sense when traveling alone.
thanks for the feedback. i love the LES and harlem as well, and always appreciate hearing people's thoughts on the city! especially, things surrounding arts, music, commerce...
I hope you're safe!
So far just wind & rain. Thanks!
