Nice ryan - and here's a picture of where my ancestors are from! Dunollie castle in Oban, Scotland, one-time seat of power of the McDougalls.

Question: how do real Scots feel about Americans who are proud of our own Scottish heritage? Is it cool that there are people here that still care? Or just sort of annoying?

Hi Paul thanks for showing interest! I think its pretty cool people show an interest in there heritage.I do find it funny that when i talk to some Americans and they here my accent and i tell them where i from they start to tell me that they are Scottish also.I ask how and then it goes there bla bla 10 times removed great great great grandad and his parrot etc etc so on and so on came over to the States in 18 whenever.Im sure you get the picture so on that note thats the only time it is a bit annoying not so much annoying more funny to hear how Scottish they are with there American accent. Also one of the main things is Braveheart is always there favourite film.Annoying no kinda funny yes.
