I'll share my secret with you: here is my favorite Seattle-area beach. It feels remote. You have to hike downhill through a forest -- first through dense evergreens, then deciduous trees -- along a lovely stream to get to it. Even in summer, there are few people here, which is so unlike Carkeek Park or Golden Gardens. No playground equipment, but kids will love it anyway because of the cool stumps and stream on the way down, then for all the awesome natural beach stuff (rocks, driftwood, plants, creatures).
