I think of Indonesia as a place of tropical plants and beautiful scenery, with the ocean close by. I have never been there.

Hi Sue , yes that is right . Indonesia is the biggest tropical island, with warm weather over the year, surrounded by the the sea and great spicy food also :D

I have never been. However, when i think of Indonesia i think of delicious food as I love spicy food:-) This is fun to be able to talk to someone from there!

all of you are right. indonesia is tropical island. there are many beatiful places here, there are many kind of fruit and plants here. the weather also is so nice. exatly i stay in malang and here there are any beatiful places like place for paralayang, water fall etc. you can visit here if you have rest time.

of course the foods here are so spicy, i do like spicy food, if the food isn't spicy i think it's not delicious for me.

how about the weather and the food in your country?

I think of three things when I think of Indonesia. (1) I think of the exciting cuisine. I have an Indonesian woman in my Google+ circles and she often will describe meals. We've tried some recipes at home. (2) I think of a famous film from the 1980s called 'The Year of Living Dangerously' (3) I remember that our President Obama spent part of his childhood in Indonesia.

I've visited Bali three times, and I love it there. That is my image of Indonesia - the friendly people, beautiful rice terraces and beaches, and fantastic food!

The one girl I ever knew from Indonesia was lovely, personable and fun.
