I think German sausages are known for its broad variety and long tradition of preparing sausages. There are many kinds of German sausages and with curry sauce and very popular fast food in Germany.

Hi,

in Germany, a very popular susage is called the 'currywurst'. It tastes really good and a lot of people like to eat it as fast food. The cities Hamburg and Berlin are arguing which of them invented the currywurst.

The currywurst tastes good, but in my opinion, the variaty of saussages in Poland is higher. The polish saussages also taste better :-)

For 30 years I hated sausages. Then I tried a fresh Thuringian sausage (Thüringer). Wonderful. "Krakauer", ham sausage (Schinkenwurst) and Curry-sausage - I eat them all now. The currywurst comes in any case from Hamburg!

Oh man Bavarian sausages are over the moon. I wish I had not read this string; I'm going to have to go to the Continental Grocery and pick some up.

And I remember also discovering this - Leberkase - in Bavaria. Apparently the ingredients are somewhat of a mystery (which probably means that I don't want to know what's in there), but I must have eaten 20 sandwiches with this stuff. It was #awesome.

Simply yes, I remember I went to the castle where Martin Luther translated the Bible etc, so yeah lots of history and beauty etc BUT the thing I remember most fondly was the Thüringer Bratwurst! To this day no sausage comes close to the might of those!!!
