I know very little about Zimbabwean food. Is much of it imported or do you grow your vegetables locally?

Hi Sue

We grow a lot of what we consume locally. Some is imported but there is an amazing wide variety here. What we are trying to do with the project is educate people on the traditional meals and how they can be incorporated into a contemporary lifestyle. As a result of our history we are losing the link to our identity and our culture is a hybrid of cultures that we have taken in through colonisation, travel, media etc.

What is the food culture in Venezuela? Do you have a similar history and has your culture and food been affected because of it? and n what ways?

Hello, I know very little about the african food. I have hear that it has very much condiments. However, in Venezuela there are a very important afromerican culture. The Venezuelan food is very varied. We combine grains, meats, vegetables and other ingredients. Our typical dish is called "pabellon", it has meat, rice, black beans and fried banana.

Greetings, this is a great topic to talk about. Are there any seed banks where you live? Are people in favor of GMO's or against them?
