Pure curiosity, but how did the unemployment rate change over the last 10 years in numbers, and in contrast how was it perceived and reported over time (especially during the recent economic crisis)?

It went from 3.5% to 7.5%. It peaked from 2.6% to 7.3% in less than a year (May2008 - May 2009). And to add a useless fact to know, they closed their last McDonalds about 2-3 years ago. Sad day for a lot of Icelanders.
